My husband and our 2 small children just finished our stay here. We had the best time!! I can’t say enough good things about the lodge. Dawn at the front desk is by far the most helpful and accommodating lodge staff member I have ever encountered. She gave wonderful local recommendations of things to do, made sure we always had everything we needed in the room and was just genuinely a very kind person. The pool was warm and clean. The room was comfortable with a good lay out for families. The location was walkable to tubing, an ice rink, stores, restaurants and an arcade/bowling place. Ski area was 6 mins away in a car (though they do have a shuttle stop right in front of the lodge) and we took a trip to the ice castles which were 25 mins away. Would definitely stay again!

My family and I stayed at the Black Bear Lodge for a week for a snowboard competition, and I have never felt more at home. From the moment you drive up, there is something about this lodge that just screams family.|The front desk team welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home. Hunter was incredibly accommodating and went the extra mile for us. Brandon was so kind and always willing to help with a smile.|I truly cannot rave enough about Don, the front desk manager. She is one of the loveliest ladies I have ever met! We enjoyed morning coffee in the lodge and spent time chatting and getting to know each other. She made our stay unforgettable.|The whole team ensures your stay is exactly what you need and want. They offer ski storage and an awesome indoor/outdoor pool that my s

We booked a block of rooms for our wedding guests at the Black Bear Lodge for a September wedding. The Front Desk crew, Dawn, Branden & Hunter were very friendly & attentive to all our needs during this process right up through guest check-ins. The suite style rooms were clean, spacious & comfortable with a full kitchen. They offer coffee every morning in the Lobby and the location is a short walk to the Town Square that has a coffee shop, restaurants & small local shops. They have an indoor/ outdoor pool and you can also use the Freedom Pass and enjoy Waterville Valley's amenities. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Just got back from a wonderful Friday thru Sunday , 2 night stay. The lodge was perfect. The grounds were beautiful. There was a family wedding at Top Notch Cider Brewery in Woodstock, lovely place, and the bridesmaid mom held a block of condo suites for those attending wedding. Perfect accomodations. My condo was large , clean, comfortable and well decorated. It was a one bedroom that slept six people with a queen and trundle bed and a pull down murphy bed in the living room. Beautiful trees could b seen outside both windows. I spent two days walking around the valley in awe of the beautiful mountain scenery all around me. Corcoran pond added to the scenic views. There are plenty activities in the valley if u like hiking, biking or walking around and the village is quaint with places to

We stayed at Black Bear Lodge for a hockey tournament and had an awful experience. Our room had to be changed three times because of serious issues. • First room: dirty, outdated, moldy, and the mattress felt like it hadn’t been replaced since the place opened. • Second room: the toilet was broken. Staff spent hours trying to fix it but couldn’t. • Third room: strong moldy odor, orange stains on the curtains and walls, unsafe bunk beds, and visible mold throughout. It wasn’t just us—many families in our group had similar problems, with rooms that were dirty and in unacceptable condition. For the price and the fact that it’s hosting teams for tournaments, this lodge is in desperate need of updates, maintenance, and basic cleanliness.
