Nice place to stay. Good people who own the campground and great manager who takes care of the campground. Several full timers here. Some come and go. Campground has a wash house. It’s very convenient. Campground also has bathroom with shower. Highly recommend this if you want serenity and quiet.
The owner made sure we had everything we need to connect our AC. The bathroom/shower was very clean. When we got back from the trails, the owner set up a campfire for us in about a minute with fat wood and cut wood. He even joined us with a drink and some conversation. It was a very quiet evening and overnight. We enjoyed our stay.
Perfect staging point for Big Thicket. Our host was great and quite a gardener. Sites are level and utilities worked.
Ok if you can dodge the pin oak limbs that will scratch your vinyl roof.
Very quiet & close to trails but lots of black widow spiders . We found a bearded dragon though
