Big 7 Motel

We needed this stay extremely quick. It was the cheapest option and the closest hotel to Coronado Island and also the airport. We only stayed for a few hours to get sleep before an early morning flight. The shower was gross with a yellow floor. Tiles missing/lights were out/toilet was gross. It was all around just icky inside the rooms. The bed was clean but everything else was just DINGY. Also people in the parking lot all hours of the night. Truly would not recommend unless you’re desperate - even then I wouldn’t shower here. The check in process was fairly easy.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! If you're from out of town and need a simple place to lay your head don't let the price fool you cause as soon as you pull up to the parking lot you will not feel safe. The first thought was to lock my belongings in my car. The house keepers seem very suspicious and stare when your unloading your vehicle and a police car drives thru the parking lot like it's a regular route. I took that as a sign to get out of dodge. Read the fine print -NON REFUNDABLE. So keep in mind when you arrive here you will want to walk right out and find a safer place to be. I had a confrontation with the person at the front desk and he was not responsive and did not want to give me back my money. Believe me when I say you're going to waste time and money at this roach motel. Not wort

When I first got there I already knew I didn’t like it. Just bad vibes and loud during the night. Room was clean and smelled good but after smelled smoke, dresser wasn’t even a dresser. They never cleaned the room. Good thing I brought my own towels, blankets and pillows . They definitely need to remodel this motel. The lady asked for a $20 deposit and doesn’t accept card. If this is your last resort for a motel then go for it but if not find somewhere else.

I recently had an extended stay at the Big 7 Motel, during a major transition in my life- almost six months in fact. There is plenty of parking- but it can get full on weekends. I never had a problem parking. The lot is very well maintained. While I was there- they resealed it, replaced the cement parking stops, and repainted it. They also started to add potted plants to liven it up, and I was happy to provide bags of garden soil for the cause! The building was also in the process of being repainted. The only downfall- old lighting hardware on the building meant that the wonderful blue lighting was sometimes finicky. The building is slowly being renovated- but don’t worry it’s all during times when the majority of guests have either checked out or not checked in yet. In the nearly 6 m
