Best Western Plus South Coast Inn

The hotel was great. Staff were so friendly and nice and helpful. Their room service was daily-with request, and was really good. I loved the breakfast, great variety of everything. You can also get hot drinks, like tea anytime in the lobby. The spa, pool, gym and business room (which has computers and printers) are open till 10 pm. The location is not really touristic but close to the airport. They also offer a free parking for your car.

The hotel is convenient in its location. The room was nice and the bed quite comfortable. Not a lot of channels on TV. Wi-Fi was OK. The landscaping facing the pool area is quite lovely and expansive by today's standards. The room had helpful amenities such as a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Breakfast was better than in average Best Western. The hotel installed new curtains on a window made from plastic, as shower curtains. They small very bad as a dead fish. When I asked a frond desk to remove curtains or give me another room they refused. You can’t open a window in the room and have to sleep with open a door. Next day I had headache. That smell will be at least one week or maybe more.

We just enjoyed a 10 day stay and it was fantastic. The rooms are roomy and modern with housekeeping available on request which was perfect. The breakfast bar had lots of options to choose from, just what we needed to get the day started. We had a massive king bed that was super comfy so we had a great sleep after busy days. The grounds are SO well maintained, it felt like we were in a private oasis. The pool was refreshing and the bubbly hot tub offered daily relaxation and the perfect escape from the Vancouver rain. The friendly staff were super helpful and very responsive to our requests. It’s in the heart of old town Goleta so just steps to shops and restaurants and less than a 15 minute drive to downtown Santa Barbara and Stern's Wharf. The lock only engages 1 out of 7 times, leaving you locked out of the room. The repair guy acted like, well it's tricky? The tv constantly goes to black, with the sound still working. The wifi does not work at all. The office didn't know why it how to fix it. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was acceptable. Location and price are right. My sister's room smelled bad.
