Best Western Plus Savannah Gateway

I would stay at this location every time I’m in the area. We loved the layout of having an entire living room separated from your beds. It really enhances the feel of not being stuck in the same room all day. The beds and comforter and comfy, the sheets could be a tad softer but my husband liked the sheets. While this hotel is not pet friendly, my daughter has a service dog and they welcomed her stay kindly and gave us a room close to an exit door making her bathroom breaks simple. The rooms blackout shades are amazing, we couldn’t even tell it was morning (for us that’s a good thing) Showers had plenty of hot water and pressure, plenty of good sized towels, and toilet paper. We got a good deal for this hotel, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Next time I will pay more to stay elsewhere. It is already starting to feel run down, despite seemingly having been built or renovated in the last few years. The rooms kept a damp feel, even after running the AC at 70 for 36 hours. There was a strong smell of tobacco smoke in the middle of the night - either from the hallway or through the HVAC. The carpet in the hallway was dirty. The front desk was often unmanned, although the daytime guy was very friendly.

Positive: Cleanliness is the most important aspect of a hotel. This hotel was very clean. Dust on some objects should be wiped more often, but outside of that fully clean including beds and bathroom. Negative: ""

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! From check in to check out, everything was smooth and welcoming. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with great options to start the day off right.A special shout out to Sarah at the front desk for being so professional and truly going above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. Her warm attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to help with anything we needed made all the difference. Exceptional customer service like hers is rare! We will definitely be back and highly recommend

Pleasantly surprised by how large room was with sitting area. The decor of lounge area and breakfast area so beautiful. Nice ambience to the atmosphere. I must say though the carpeting in the hallway to rooms looked like it needed a good vacuuming, but it was 6:30 already, so…but very pleased with room and all amenities like filtered water fountain station and accessible restrooms in the lobby.
