Best Western Plus Palo Alto Inn & Suites

The rooms are very dark. The shower is not good, it doesn't get above lukewarm for me. The pool is inside but no heater. Water is very cold. The Jacuzzi was out of service. Exercise equipment is not working well if at all. The breakfast was amazing though, and the staff is very kind.

About what you would expect from a Best Western Plus, for the money it is fine. The Palo Alto area of San Antonio is working class and you may have to drive 10-15 minutes if you want to eat something other than fast food or Mexican cuisine but it is Texas. The staff are friendly. The hot tub wasn't heating which was disappointing. It is about 35 minutes from the airport.

Positive: "" Negative: I was given an initial room with the door left ajar and half-cleaned by housekeeping. 2nd room had dirty towels that were left under the sink, and makeup items remained on the counter. 3rd room was a standard room when I originally requested a King.

I have been staying here for years every time I visit SanAntonio. Lobby and rooms are clean and price is under a $100. and the Staff is nice. Other hotels in the area we have stayed at are not as nice as this. They also offer free breakfast with coffee which is a plus. They also have an indoor pool and workout area. There is also a Jack in the box and a gas station with snacks just next door walking distance.

Great visit. Competent, professional staff kept the place clean and everything was in good working order. Breakfast was great; good variety. One of our better hotel stays. I'd stay here again if in the area. I recommend this place.
