Best Western Plus Beach View Lodge Carlsbad

Beautiful hotel along the Carlsbad Beach. Breakfast is simple and tasty and the pools are great for families to enjoy. My day was a little complicated because the heater wasn’t working and it made for a cold night, but the hotel worked hard to make it right. Jay, the front office manager and Alyson, set me up in another room to spend an additional night and I’m so glad that they did. Things don’t always go perfectly, but a business, such as this, is then given the opportunity to make a customers experience exceptional, which they certainly did. I hope to return again soon. So very relaxing.

Positive: Location Negative: Bathroom floor was wet entire 4 days. It was handicap bath which we did not request and it flooded entire bathroom every time used shower. Does not have proper drainage. Very annoying and grosd

Staying at the Best Western Plus in Carlsbad was a wonderful experience. The staff were all polite, professional and very helpful. The acility and amenities were very clean. They have a sun deck with a wonderful view of the beach and ocean and is a very short walk across the street. There's a great restaurant across the street with great food.

Lovely hotel! Very cool, southern california vibes, right across the street from the beach, and walking distance from all the restaurants and shopping of downtown Carlsbad. We loved watching & listening to the ocean from the upper patio deck, and really enjoyed the gas fireplace in the room. That was such a unique touch and so enjoyable! I liked being able to walk to the restaurants downtown without being RIGHT in the middle of the all the noise. It was a perfect location. Good breakfast included hot foods. Nice staff were gracious & helpful. The manager Andrew helped us out with our questions and gave us some great recommendations for where to eat & what to do. We were here for a two-day couple's trip and definitely want to come back longer for a family vacation.

Great location!!!!! Carlsbad Village is a super spot for food and relaxing. The beach is literally across the street from the hotel. You are 5 blocks from great coffee shops and eateries. We changed rooms after night one. The staff was extremely accommodating. No issues the rest of our stay. They have a nice full breakfast every morning 6:30-9:30am. They have a small workout room with free weights, stationary bike and treadmill. We’ll come back here because of the location and the service!
