Best Western Indian Oak

My room was spacious and clean. The bed was so comfortable. Sauna in the pool area was such a relaxing treat. There is a great variety of food options close to the hotel. Convenient location for the Indiana Sand Dunes.|Indiana Gem

We have stayed at this location 12 nights in the last three months. The price is right. Rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are comfy. I like the lake view. Plenty of parking. Close to restaurants/stores. Staff is nice. Only complaint I have is that I wish they would have at least one or two more hot food options available for breakfast. All 12 visits have had eggs and sausage only. Bacon, potatoes or biscuits & gravy would be nice occasionally. And yes, there are trains nearby that run quite regularly, but I actually enjoy hearing them in the distance. And yes, there is no elevator to the second floor. So, if stairs are an issue, request lower floor when placing reservation. All in all, it honestly is a nice hotel for the money.

We stayed here in November 2025 on our Indiana Dunes National Park trip and had a good experience. Check-in & check-out was quick and easy. Plenty of parking available. Hotel is a relatively short drive from the national park, depending on which part you're going to. Room was nice & clean, with comfortable beds. The free breakfast was good, though I would recommend going earlier in the morning rather than later so the options don't get too picked-over. View of Chubb Lake from breakfast area & lobby was very nice. There is a piano in the lobby, which was an unexpected but cool perk! Overall, a great stay at a great value!

Staff is very accommodating. Nice room. Great shower. The room smelled a little musty when we walked in, however, it cleared up by running the furnace fan for a while. Breakfast is basic. Coffee is not the best, however, good enough. Overall, it was a nice place at a good price. We will stay here again when we are in the area.
