Best Western Childress West Hotel

Positive: It was close to my job Negative: I was there 9 days and THEY NEVER changed my sheets. I had to get towels . The time they brought towels they didn’t bring wash cloth . The halls were filthy , worst beat western I’ve ever stayed at .

Nasty! Just nasty. Corners are grungy. Floor is filthy(turned my socks brown). Breakfast is inedible. Shower design floods the bathroom. The only good thing was the AC. Unlike a lot of hotels they don’t clamp the thermostat and I could get the room comfortable for sleeping.

I travel for work and stay in hotels 52 weeks out of the year. First time staying at a Best Western. Room was half cleaned. Trash not emptied. Toilet paper not refilled. Toilet not cleaned. The floor was obvious not swept. Dirt, fuzz, hair, etc. Looks like pubic hair on the bathroom floor. Dust on shelves. Room next to the noisy highway, plus a noisey AC. Almost 60db together. Even the cards with hotel info on the desk where knocked over. Super low effort house keeping job. My co-worker got a room that wasn't cleaned at all, with soda cans and pizza boxes on the counter. Other rooms were open and not cleaned, with brooms leaning against the door. $120 after tax. I've stayed in nicer places for $40 a night. Definitely the worst place I've stayed for the most money this year.

Staff was friendly, and helpful, I work nights and needed an early check in and they went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Highly recommend staying here.

My husband and I stayed here during our road trip, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. Our first room was dirty and had no working AC, so we had to move. In the second room, at 12:00 am and again at 4:40 am, people banged loudly on our door as if trying to get in. We believe the hotel failed to update their system and tried to check in other guests to our room during the night. We called the front desk but no one came to help, and the next morning the employee gave no apology or assistance, only saying he “didn’t know what happened.” We barely slept and it made continuing our trip very difficult. We are Best Western Rewards members with multiple future bookings, and this stay makes us very concerned about the safety and quality of Best Western hotels.
