This hotel was awesome!! Located right off the interstate, it was perfect for my sister and I who were coming from opposite directions to meet up. The room was very nice and clean. The pool and hot tub were nice, and the hot tub was big!! The breakfast was one of the best that I've had at a hotel and everything was really good (we went back 3 different times for more lol)!! Located by everything you'd need for a weekend. We will be staying here again for sure!!
This was my second (and definitely last) stay at this location. Checked in close to midnight both times, and both times the same front desk guy made things… uncomfortable. He asked for my ID (normal), but then held it in both hands in front of his face and studied it for what felt like a full minute. Not glanced at it. Studied it. I was exhausted and just wanted a room, so I kept my mouth shut, but the vibe was off. Got to the room and immediately remembered why I swore I wouldn’t come back the first time. The place is just run down. The bathroom has drywall peeling in multiple spots, the ceiling looks sagged and cracked, and the coffee maker didn’t work at all. Honestly, a Motel 6 would have been an upgrade in terms of cleanliness and basic upkeep. I travel a lot and I’m usually pretty
This is an older hotel but very hospitable, clean, and reasonably priced. They have TCM and NewsMax on TV, the only two channels I ever watch. (Typically I just leave TCM on continuously with the volume set to zero.) Typical complementary hotel breakfast fare. No guest laundry. Location: It is January here in Alexandria, Minnesota, so that definitely makes a difference. It is an abysmal, freezing aglomeration of strip malls and gas stations just off I-94. Nearly every day and night is in the single digits and often far below freezing.
Conveniently located off of the highway. We were greeted by a very friendly and positive night clerk, who gave us a choice of floors. Our king room was clean, although someone had cranked the AC down to 60 so the room was freezing. The heater was good enough to get it warm after an hour. The shower was hot with good water pressure - it's a walk in with no tub, the bed was comfy, no microwave but does have a refrigerator. The room needs a night stand on the other side, and the couch is super close to that side too. The breakfast was well stocked with scrambled eggs, breads, yogurt, waffles, juices and coffee.
Good comfortable mattressBreakfast had a good variety of of hot snd cold items. Delicious coffee. We would stay again but not in that room. Fan in bathroom didn't work and steam set off fire alarm 3 times even with window opened. Heating/ cooling system needs cleaning as it left unpleasant odor in room which Febreeze took away.
