Belmont Inn and Suites

The owners are very accommodating! They are eager to fix any issues occurring! The rooms smell fantastic, the cleanliness of the room has reached higher than my expectations and any other suite I’ve been at

Positive: It had 3 beds. Negative: I was charged a $50 refundable deposit, but they only wanted cash for it. Then when I checked out they told me my room was dirty and I left trash in the trash can. They didn't want to give me back my deposit. When I insisted they banned me from the hotel.

The location was great. Everything else was incredibly disappointing. If I could give a negative star rating I would in a heartbeat. I know this is a budget hotel in VA Beach, but C'Mon man! In short, Would I recommend this hotel? Never in a million years. Here are a few reasons why:||The room was the worst room I have ever seen as far as cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep. There were roaches and bugs/spiders crawling everywhere including inside the refrigerator. There was black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. There was also an actual hole that had rotten through the shower ceiling from above. I was honestly worried that the second floor bathroom might collapse on me while I was taking a shower. ⚠️⚠️DO NOT STAY HERE⚠️⚠️:My fiancé, Two year old son and I booked an 11 day stay as we transition through housing coming from Missouri for context…. *they have ROACHES (babies and adults as well as eggs near the stove of room 107) I have a recording of the daughter at the front desk telling me I’ll find roaches at any of the other motels on the street and that they have been working on it from the looks of the reviews they been “working on it” for 5+ years!!!, and the son gave me roach traps and showed me how to use them 🤦🏽‍♀️ *housekeeping NEVER came the whole time we were there (about 5 or so days) *lukewarm water ONLY and barley any water pressure *non smoking motel but the room smelt horrible; they tried to air it out and left the beck room window wide open with no screen on it *w

Ok first the only 3 good things, #1 the owner was friendly and greated us happily when we arrived, #2 the working ice machine and #3 distance to the beach Now why we won't be back. The ac was hanging on by its last life line so the room stayed hot, the TV had been punched out by someone previous and we had to notify the office so we would not be held responsible, there was no trash cans in any room, we had to wait for a spot to open to park our own vehicle when the website clearly states free parking for guests, there are no plates cups utensil etc for the use of the cook top (not that I would have cooked there) the back window in the bedroom was left unlocked (glad I checked when we checked in and locked it myself) the curtains hardly close letting in heat, and the main reason for never
