Customer Reviews
Cute, cozy, nice pool, great people. Convenient to great donuts/coffee, steak restaurant, grocery store, pharmacy and plenty of antique stores. Nice salt water pool and hot tub with playground and grills.
Fully renovated unit 9. Two bedrooms, tvs in all the rooms nice kitchen. The unit was very comfortable with two kids and my spouse. There was an enclosed porch with a nice view of the marsh. Close to the small kids park and easy access to the pool. Belle of Maine is walkable to many places like mikes clam shack, congdons or even Walgreens. Close to the beach in wells. ||Would definitely go back ! We rented through vacasa as it is no longer a hotel but individually owned condos.
This is the best place to stay in Southern Maine. The owners have really outdone themselves in making your stay great. We were upgraded to a Suite that was just beautiful. Had a full kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans, etc. The suite is beautifully decorated. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and a Murphy bed in the living room. The bed was very comfortable. We had an enclosed porch with a great view of the ocean and the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge. The owner James Skeats is a wonderful host - very kind and nice. ||||We will definitely be back hopefully next June for another wonderful Maine vacation.
The Belle of Maine is a no-frills cottage community with a swimming pool/hot tub combo, tiny playscape, gas grills & picnic tables throughout. Stayed with family, in three different cottages. Ours was pleasantly “updated” compared to the other two cottages. Those cottages have wood paneling, small kitchenette & even smaller bathroom with small standup shower. Ours was a two bedroom, larger living space, kitchenette and bigger bathroom. Loved it! The big screened in porch was a perk. The air conditioner worked, but after day 1 seemed to not be as cold, but was nice to have screened windows open in AM for a breeze. The flat screen TV and cable were great too for sitting and watching with the kids. Furniture is outdated, but suited our needs. The pillows were a bit flat and beds a bit hard, b
My girlfriend and I just returned home from a six night stay at the Belle of Maine Motel and Cottages. We rented a one bedroom cottage for six nights. It was so nice, quaint and comfortable. The cottage had been recently renovated. It was immaculate. Everything we needed or wanted was available. The property had a heated pool and hot tub. One of the owners, Rick, was always accessible. He was a friendly and kind man. The location was superb. The price for the cottage was quite reasonable. I'd definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in visiting the southern part of Maine and staying in a place that feels like home.
