Beachway Motel

In the past we drove by this motel on our way to the beach. It was always very cute, very well kept. We decided to do an overnight to be able to enjoy the beach for 2 days. The price with tax was $222. We went to check in. I did not even want to go in. The property is in shambles, dirty, unkept, no upkeep on the landscaping. Some of the units had items outside the doors that made it apparent people were probably renting monthly or longer. Immediate unsafe feeling. I wanted to see the room first, the clerk came to the desk in a wife beater t-shirt probably fresh off the deck out back that featured a seat out of a car. Ive seen homeless shelters in better shape. Toilet loose from base, no heat, TV remote broken, draftey, dirty, disgusting. No staffed maids. Rent a tent. No refund when complained.

My daughter wanted to learn how to surf, so we spent a few days up in Hampton Beach, NH. She was having such a good time, we decided to stay one more night, but our current hotel was unavailable. Last minute in the summer, options are limited. The Beachway Motel had one room left and is in close proximity to the waves, so we grabbed it! It was a throwback to my childhood, when roadside motels lined beach communities....I do feel some of these reviews are a little harsh. It is after all, a motel, not a hotel. There is no breakfast or morning coffee service, but there is a great little breakfast place across the street. Sure, it is run down, but the tub/sink was not dirty, they just had some rust stains.....again, it is an old motel. The rooms had new tv's, a microwave and refrigerator, free

Disgusting, they are selling to put in homes. Zero effort on keeping the place clean. Dirty coffee cup in the fridge. The smell of cleansers would has asphixiated us. Overgrown weeds, dirty ash trays on the non smoking room decks. Looks like a motel they rent out monthly as housing.

Stayed here last week with the family. Not a great place. About what I expected. The people seemed nice BUT fraudulent charges started showing up on my Credit Card the day after I checked out. I can't prove it but my CC has been in my wallet the entire time. There's a few thousand dollars of fraudulent charges...all starting the day after we checked out.
