Beachouse Lodge

We enjoyed our stay; the room is clean and it's relaxing. The reason for 3 stars; is the main reason we chose this location is it showed a boat dock/fishing pier. My husband called the week before our arrival to make sure we could dock a boat there. At that time we were told, during hurricane Ian, a boat from a neighboring dock took out the dock at the beach house lodge1.5 years ago. Nothing was stated on the site we booked through about the dock not being there. The site needs to be updated so others aren't disappointed as we were. Update photos & description. They have had plenty of time to update the site or repair the dock.

Great place to stay. Our host Sally made us feel so welcome and took care of all our needs. The unit we stayed in does needs more comfortable furniture . We loved the pier and sitting on the dock, but it's a little scary to walk on without hand rails. .The view is beautiful and we had a great vacation. Highly recommend The Beachouse.

Update...... This place now officially sucks!!! It's 10:00pm on a Wednesday (June '24) and I kid you not one of the owners is on the top floor playing the effin' drums. It's like a college dorm upstairs, the smell of marijuana has made its way into our room and is very unpleasant. There is trash (Walmart bags, broken furniture, beer cans etc) and overgrown landscaping around the property (along the beach) and the owner sits around and does nothing about it. They have made only minimal repairs since Ian. They (owners) had friends staying with them upstairs and basically took over the entire property while blasting their music (with excessive profanity). Finally, the dock is still severely damaged from the hurricane and only 30% of it is accessible. The management company does not tell you t

We stayed in the Snapper room on the ground floor. Right on the water, lounge chairs, grills and picnic area right there. Everything clean, great wifi hookup. Long pier with fishing, swim ladder benches at end . Lights for night use too. A beautiful and relaxing setting. Very nice staff - a great place!

Our family of four visited the Beachouse Lodge this month. Here’s our experience: FISHING PIER: The waters surrounding Bokeelia are known for great fishing. The Beachouse Lodge highlights a private fishing pier and the fishing opportunity. Area piers strategically extend 200’ out to a drop-off where the fish run. Fishing here, combined with the pleasing accommodation images convinced me to book at the lodge. Problem is … the fishing pier was destroyed months before! We only discovered this when arriving with gear, lures, and fresh bait. In disbelief, I explained what I found to the property manager and informed him that I wished to leave the next day and requested the remainder of the stay refunded. MANAGEMENT RESPONSE: “The end of the pier was damaged from a rouge boat during hurricane
