Bayside Hotel of Mackinac

Dont have high expectations staying here. The rooms look like they are never thoroughly cleaned. Years worth of dust. The furniture is very outdated and looks like it hasn't been maintained or updated in quite awhile. Not sure if the hotel flooded or maybe sprinklers went off at some point or another but there is plenty of rust and black mold. All I can say that is good is the staff seemed nice and it was on a great location directly across from the ferry terminal. I dont have high standards but would stay elsewhere if there is availability and this being a last resort.

I wish I had checked out these reviews a head of time. Thank goodness we only booked for 2 nights. So many things broken in the room and I left a list at the front desk when we left. I really wonder if they will be fixed. Refrigerator did not work. Bathroom vanity was separating from the counter top. No toilet paper spool to hold the toilet paper. Toilet seat loose. Light above one bed did not work. |Outlet on wall would not hold any plug. |Very noisy hotel with kids running up and down halls at night. No comfortable chair |to sit on in the room. Not worth the almost $200 a night we paid. |Don’t stay here!!!

The Bayside Hotel in Mackinaw City was a huge disappointment! The room smelled, was very dirty, the hot tub and pool outside was dirty and cold! We never went into the waterpark. The building looked dirty, unkept and there were bags of trash laying everywhere outside. Inside the room, it took over 15 minutes just to get warm water in the sink & shower! There was no continental breakfast & not even coffee anywhere. I wouldn’t recommend this dump to anyone!!!!!!

I don’t usually take the time to leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. My stay was unfortunately very disappointing from the start. When I walked into the room, I found dirty sheets and pillowcases laying on the bed, with pillows piled up without any cases. The bed looked unfinished, with the duster pulled off. I called the front desk and they did send someone promptly, but they only partially remade the bed—some bedding still wasn’t replaced, and the duster wasn’t fixed. To make things worse, the towels provided were visibly dirty. When I opened the drawer in the bedside table, it collapsed completely. Overall, the room felt neglected and not properly cleaned or maintained. I won’t be returning, and I hope this helps others who are relying on honest feedback when c
