Baymont by Wyndham Savannah/Garden City

If you are looking for an affordable place to stay, this may be an option. About 6 minutes from downtown Savannah. If you want somewhere closer to town you are looking at $400 or more per night this time of year. The rooms were clean, they made our bed and we had fresh towels every day. Breakfast is not one of their strong points. You may want to eat somewhere else if it’s an important meal for you. The bed was comfortable. Plenty of parking.

I reserved 2 rooms for the Labor Day weekend 2025 for my group. The rooms were ok because the carpet looked as though it needed to be shampooed, the room needed more cleaning, and the room had roaches. These were small roaches that ran from under the table lamp. We were very tired because we had driven over 5 hours and it was late. So we sprayed the room with Lysol I nformed the employee at the front desk who said he would inform the manager the next day. We asked the manager for compensation and were told we could not have compensation because we continued to stay in the room. The manager offered to change our room and we accepted but later that night I saw another roach in the bathtub of the new room we were offered. I have been in Wyndham hotels and never have I seen roaches. But, most

Positive: Breakfast was a hot meal Negative: The tv stopped working and there was no telephone in the room. They charged a deposit on site that was not posted on the website or at the front desk.

Employees were all very friendly and attentive. The room we stayed in was plenty big and the beds were clean and comfortable. The building and rooms could use some updates and renovations, but it was a very quiet location, within 10 minutes drive of downtown Savannah, and the free breakfast was a nice touch, so no real complaints. Would definitely book another with here if we're ever in the area again.

There is no pool (Google) and no gym (booking.com). The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, some of the other furniture looked worn. There were sufficient outlets for charging all our devices. The bathroom was not glamorous but it was functional. The breakfast was delicious. Coffee, tea, apple and orange juice, cereal, hot eggs and sausage, bread for toasting, instant oatmeal packets, muffins, fruit, and the yummy hot waffles! I loved the location just outside of downtown Savannah.
