Baymont by Wyndham Savannah Midtown

Price was fair, location is good if have a car. If you are using Uber can be expensive to get around. Asked for hair dryer repair, was never done, not a big issue but irritating. Room was not restocked with coffee or condiments packets daily.

Excellent staff and hospitality sorry to check out early. Not my intention. Will stay with no one else 4 stars all the way

Positive: The daily staff does a nice job of keeping it clean and neat. Negative: The hotel itself is only satisfactory. Paint is chipping on the walls. The room furniture is ill fitting and older (like a garage sale purchase). It was functional, but no more.

The first room we were given smelled like cigarette smoke and the second one that we got moved to still had a smell to it and was noticeably dirty — the carpet felt like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. The front desk was helpful and allowed us to check out with refund after we decided to cut our stay short and move to an Airbnb.

The HVAC unit in the room would not control using the wall controls. It was cold out and it was stuck on LC - Low Cool. Had to have maintenance come and disable the wall controls then I could control it using the unit itself. Appearance of the hotel itself left some to be desired. Locks broken, pooled filled in with concrete, saw a homeless person in the stairwell, another stumbling down the sidewalk. I would not go back there myself.
