Baymont by Wyndham San Antonio Airport

I went to San Antonio to see my son graduate from the United States Air Force on February 24-27, 2026. I booked a room thinking it would be nice as the pictures. Not even the case. The lady at the front desk, was very dismissive. Not even nice and welcoming us. Went into the room, set my stuff down, went and used the bathroom, and the pipes under the sink were FILTHY. The toilet seat was dirty. The smoke detector had a plastic bag covering it, and the sheets didn't even stay on the bed when you slept. Tried to turn on the television, but there was no remote. So had to go back out to the counter. She didn't know where it was, but did have to come into the room to try a few she had. My Airman came to the hotel with me and walked around to check out the hotel and noticed some stran

Positive: The location and the price Negative: Room barely looked clean , pillows looked like they needed to be replaced comforter was just thrown on the bed , room smelled musty , bathroom sink handles were broken , tv remote broke , had to ask several people in order to get another one.

Great location, safe and quiet.

This was one of only two pet friendly hotels in the area for 100$. But the added 25$ fee for pets was not advertised and a sticker shock. Next time I will bring the dog up the stairs and avoid the hidden fees. Slept well. Good AC. Firm bed. Got extra pillows and towels. Out by 11am. Well lit parking lot. Head on a swivel as always in these away from home places. Great $ saver, especially for a single man. Less so for a delicate couple. We were fine, but my girl is pretty adaptable and good w $, and she knows I would rather save $ and spend it on her. Sophora and such vs hotel.

Travelocity listed a 24/7 gym. There was no gym on site. The room smelled of smoke, and they didn't offer any sort of airport shuttle, even though they're so close and purport to be an airport hotel. I went to the front desk multiple times to get batteries changed in the remote for the TV and it took 4 trips to get anyone to help, and then the batteries they gave were also not working. The "continental" breakfast consisted of 2 types of cold cereal, lukewarm watered down orange juice and a half filled bowl of old apples.The cleaning staff did a lovely job, that's the only good thing I have to say.
