Baymont by Wyndham Rawlins

A Baymont branded hotel that does not have a complimentary breakfast like all their other locations? Seriously? Not even a complimentary coupon at the diner....what a shame. No coffee pot in the room? How is it that even motel 6 or econolodge is doing better than you with just this? Blows my mind. You check in at the diner right outside. Kinda awkward and frankly if it's bad, windy weather it's not the best first impression for any customer. I don't particularly mind, but I know others absolutely would. The room is alright. It was clean, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and didn't have any weird odors, and didn't look crusty or unsanitary. Building in general needs an update but for middle of nowhere Wyoming...idk. If it were in a bigger town or city I'd imagine the owner would w

I called the hotel direct to reserve a room - I asked for the ground floor, if they have breakfast and I told them I have pets. They came back and said "Yes we have a ground floor room, yes on the breakfast and total will be $148 including pets". When we go there they said " No ground floor rooms available." Even though I made a reservation for the ground floor. Check-in was at the next door restaurant. I had to ask for a coffee pot as well. No coffee pots in the rooms. That evening we decide to order take out from the restaurant, Penny's Diner next door affiliated with the hotel. We order online. Two minutes later we get a phone call saying they only are serving hamburger's and fries. Other ingredients they don't have to make other food, like a Ruben sandwich or salads. They said

Positive: The bed sheets Negative: Location was hard to find at dark and in the rainAND, the ad said this location was 8.1 miles from My Rushmore. It’s a lot longer!!!

Out of the way, clean, quiet. Check in at the restaurant next door which sometimes has a cook and sometimes doesn't. People are really nice, though.

We were stuck early in the morning and could not find a place to let us check in o. The sleeping schdule we needed and then we happend across this place and the person that help was super understanding and went way out of their way to help in our Time of need...and they helped out tremendously and it made our trip at least this part a little more manageable thanks for your help
