Econo Lodge Rawlins

Heat barely worked. Had to sleep in all my layers to be warm. They did try to help and switch rooms but heat was just as bad. Ive been traveling/ car camping and wanted a night out of the cold and didnt get it. They really shouldnt book these rooms if heat doesnt work outside temp was down to single digits my room was maybe 50 degrees at the warmest

Check-in clerk was very friendly; I didn't catch his name but he assured me the room would be clean (and it was!) The rate was great for 2 adults and 2 dogs; if I got charged extra for my 4-legged kids, I wasn't told about it and it must have been nominal. I really appreciate that, as I travel with them frequently and appreciate lodging that accommodates them without sky-high additional fees! The hotel was incredibly quiet, which surprised me considering that the parking lot had a lot of vehicles in it, including many from Texas, leading me to believe there were oilfield workers staying there. I didn't hear them leave; husband did, but said they were only whispering in the hallway--wow!

This property has made me rethink Econolodge going forward. Though the halls and exterior are a bit worn overall the property is clean and the room itself was tidy and refreshed with updated furnishings and appliance. The staff were polite and welcoming. I thought it was a good bargain for the price I paid.

You are most likely staying here for a few reasons. If those reasons aren’t listed you can do much better for cheaper. Location - this hotel is centrally located near Walmart and the grocery store. Good news because they stopped serving anything remotely close to a breakfast and you get a fruit bar and fruit cup in a bag. Long term stay - looks like long term stays are there bread and butter. Rates are much more affordable for longer stays.Lucky for you because the room smells like the man camp you were trying to avoid. Pets or smoking - This is a very pet friendly place. Expect to see animals anywhere. Hope you don’t have allergies. Bathrooms are nice. Though mine had a full wall mirror for whatever reason. Not sure why you need a mirror while going potty. All the workers were really nice, unfortunately, this hotel needs some renovations. I appreciate the amount of space in the room and bathroom. The water pressure was great too. But the actual sleeping arrangements were poor. The bed springs and I got well acquainted as they kept poking me no matter how I was laying. The pillows didn't provide much support and the blankets provided were so thin and not enough to keep me warm at night.
