Rawlins KOA Journey

Stayed here on 6/19/2025. Normally tent camp but their tent area was not the greatest, but we got a great deal on a cabin. The new owners are slowly improving everything. Laundry room was clean & all the washer & dryers worked. It wasn’t an arm & a leg to wash my clothes. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people.

Was planning on staying up in the mountains but opted to reserve a spot online that put me a bit closer to my final destination and have a hot shower. This KOA is pretty basic, sandwiched between the highway and some apartments and a bit lacking when it comes to KOAs I have stayed at before. Glad I am only here one night.

This is a great campground. The owners are terrific and very accomodating. We are tent campers and the tentsites were large, include a picnic table and fire ring and were very convenient to the front office and showers. The bathroom and showers were clean. The campground has a wonderful area offering gas grills for use for campers and an area with adirondak chairs around a gas firepit. The front office includes snacks, gifts, ice, etc. Campgrounds with tent sites are hard to find these days. This was a terrific find!

We enjoyed an overnight stay with convenient highway access at a lovely little campground. They have a pleasant front office with a selection of unique gifts. The staff, or perhaps the owners, were very pleasant and welcoming individuals. If you are seeking a convenient stop with easy highway access, I highly recommend visiting. The campsites are generously sized; we had no difficulty accommodating our 43-foot fifth wheel and a 350 F, with ample space available.

This place was real cute! Just a diamond in the rough that IS western WY. The staff was incredible, just personable as all get out! The bathrooms were very clean. All around it checked all the boxes for a smaller, older KOA. The play ground was well received by our 8 year old.
