Baymont by Wyndham Howell/Brighton

This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. From the moment we walked in, the entire hotel and our room reeked strongly of stale cigarette smoke. In the lobby, there was a couch cover that appeared to be used to hide rips or stains, which was already a red flag.||The room itself was extremely dirty. The sink and counter had visible hair and dirt on them. There was dirt all over the bathroom floor, and the shower was visibly dirty as well. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned.||We checked in around 4:00 pm specifically to use the pool. At check-in, we were told there was no hot tub—only jetted tubs in select rooms—despite the hotel website clearly indicating a hot tub. Positive: Room was very clean, lots of room and perfect for travelers. Negative: Phone didn't work; staff did not know how to switch it for one that works. I had to do it. Staff did not know how to transfer incoming calls to my room. Staff doesn't speak English well and caused many problems.

We had a wonderful night stay, in a king suite room! Everything was clean and well prepped :) the staff is genuinely kind and courteous. We will definitely be coming back to stay here, the next time I come down this way to see family. Thank you!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the executive suite on Valentine’s Day. Our room was clean and comfortable, stocked with any products we needed. We had a huge nice jetted tub in the room which was so relaxing for our stay. We also had a balcony over looking the pool area. Pool was clean and perfect temperature. Manager was friendly and made sure we had a good stay. 10/10 overall.

Stayed here with family for 4 nights and had a really pleasant experience. Management and staff was very helpful and available , which made the stay feel easy and welcoming. The pool felt almost private and very peaceful. Our kids loved it, and we enjoyed how calm and relaxing the place was. It’s great for a family vacation and also works well for business or even larger groups. Overall, we were very happy with the time we spent here.
