Baymont by Wyndham Columbus/Rickenbacker

DO NOT STAY HERE it’s not worth it. The outside appearance is nice. The hotel on the inside is very dated and old furniture. My room was horrible, look at the pictures. The paint was peeling, the walls were cracked, the shower head and along the top of the tub had black mold, inside the tub it looked like they had never cleaned it so it was stained. The carpet was torn, the faucet in the tub and sink was old. The only good part about the stay was the Dove soap. 🤣 You asked why I stayed because it was pouring rain, visibility was zero and the airport was within walking distance. BEWARE

We got a room with the jacuzzi in it.. This time the room was amazing, very big with a balcony that overlooked the indoor pool.. Apparently they have a few rooms with jacuzzi tubs in them, but the ones overlooking the pool are definitely much bigger and nicer then the regular rooms without the balcony... The staff is always very helpful, and polite...

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The first room we were given had no running water due to a broken tap and smelled strongly of mold. The hallways throughout the hotel also reeked of smoke, which made the environment unpleasant from the start. The elevator felt unsafe and poorly maintained. We requested a new room, but the second one was only marginally better. The toilet seat was broken, the main light did not work, and the room felt neglected. On top of that, when we called ahead, we were quoted $110 per night, but upon arrival the price was suddenly $125. This lack of transparency added to the frustration. The room wreaked , and the windwo was locked shut and could not be opened. Its in the middle of nowhere with the closest actual restaurant or store a 20 minute drive. Hotels.com said 5 miles, might be true but that 5 miles is a long drive. Despite pre-paying for the room in full, they charged a $50 deposit, not just to charge incidentals to my room. This is what tipped the whole thing for me. They serve what appears to be a mediocre breakfast BUT if you wish to take that breakfast to you room to eat and wake up in privacy, they will charge you a $25 "convenience" fee. That is far from convenient. I will never stay here again, and after my experience here, may never stay at another Baymont or Wyndham again.

Positive: Nothing Negative: I didn't like it at all; it's a hotel where people actually live, and it's super expensive for the type of hotel it is.
