Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon

This is mine and my fiancée3rd time here We came for Valentine’s Day didn’t ask but our glamping cabin got upgraded to the same cabin we got engaged in and the staff knew about our story and bright us a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate our weekend. Burt at the front desk was absolutely amazing couldn’t recommend this place enough have never had a bad experience yet. First choice for camping every time highly recommend! 💯

We will not be returning to this campground. We have an RV and paid for "full service". They must be unaware that full service is electricity, water, and sewer at the site. There was electricity, but only 30 AMP - no 50 AMP anywhere. Had water, but shared a spigot with neighboring site, so very little pressure. No at-site sewer, and when we dumped at the dump station, it was full and overflowed. Campsites were very close together. Their restrooms were dirty and stall trashcans were overflowing. They did a sub-par cleaning of the women's restroom on our 4th day there. The sinks and toilets were still dirty. Wi-Fi was non-existent at the campsite.

Found this last minute and di not know what to expect. We rented a cabin. Great surprise, the place and people here are great!! The cabins were very clean with a great bed and heater. Bathrooms were VERY clean and the shower was good. Would recommend this place if you are in the area!

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years for our annual pinball campout, and almost every year something gets better. Last year we met Dylan, a new employee who was just learning the ropes but still made sure we had a great time. This year Dylan was in full effect and it showed! The camp store looks better than ever, everything ran smoothly, and we were well taken care of from start to finish. Honestly, this was probably the smoothest event we’ve had in all our years coming here. The bathrooms stayed very clean with no issues at all, which makes a big difference for a group event like ours. I arrived early and got the chance to meet the camp hosts, who were incredibly kind.
