Auburn Lodge

Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever seen in my life, and that includes dozens of $5-10 hotels around the world. I am usually fine with a cheap hotel, maybe a little musty, needs updating, no paint on the walls, dirty shared bathroom, etc. In fact, I kind of relish a cheap hotel and prefer them over more expensive places for the most part. But this place was next-level gross. The first room that I entered absolutely reeked of blunt smoke. Tbh I love sweet Mary Jane but the tobacco and cigarette was too much. The friendly front desk attendant quickly gave me another room, which was a little bit better, but still smelled like mildew and faint cigarette smoke. The floors were dirty but the sheets and bathroom were reasonably clean, so I checked thoroughly for signs of bed bugs (no stains on th

I had a week long stay here while my hardwood floors were being refinished. Room was clean, staff was accommodating and having breakfast was a big plus. Would recommend this motel!

Gross, do not recommend. Although the rooms are supposed to be non smoking, I immediately got smacked in the face with a thick smell of cigarette smoke and mildew as soon as I opened the door. The bathroom smelled faintly of marijuana. Many cockroaches seen crawling all over the room, hiding under shoes every morning. Only ever saw biscuits and gravy available in the morning (besides corn flakes cereal and muffins). There was a group of migrant workers that would just hang out in their white van in the parking lot for hours every night, it made me feel uncomfortable. At least the linens were clean and the shower was well lit and felt large, but would not stay here again.

It's a decent motel for the price. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is ok, not great. You get what you pay for. Can't complain. Got a good price.

The location is right off the interstate, not far from the Auburn University Campus. Checked in around 10:00pm, the staff was really friendly. The pricing was decent. The room was a nice size, comfortable bed. There was a strong ?stale type smell that you could really only smell when the air wasn't running. The shower heads are not great either. Other than that the place is recommended as a decent stay, especially if visitng a student or campus
