Atlas Hotel

The appearance worried me but this is actually a nice place. The sole receptionist accepted our 2am request for a room. Room is a bit small and bare bones but it's perfect for sleeping. There's a TV, microwave and refrigerator too. The bed was massive and comfortable. The bathrooms arent private but it's okay. I highly recommend it for people needing a clean little place to crash.

The lady who runs this places is incredibly sweet. My flight arrived late and she stayed there an extra two hours until I arrived, and was incredibly kind the entire time. If you're someone who wants to support a family business run by good people, this place is great.

For close to $140, you get a tiny room that sleeps 2, a microwave, refrigerator, power strip, table (no chair), 2 small bottles of water, a ticking clock, 1 towel. Yes. 1 black towel for 2 people. Hmmmm.You share the gender-specific lavatory with EVERYONE else on the 2nd floor. There is 1 toilet. There are cloth hand towels (eeeyuwww) in the lavatory that people share. Gag. No extra toilet paper. Very little privacy in the bathroom/shower area. Hope for the best. Lots and lots of steps. There is no parking. Use the nearby public parking that is located 1-2 blocks away. Beginning at 9:00 am, you must pay for parking. There is 1 ceiling light in the room. Sooooo, work it out with the other person about how you’re going to work that out. I out needed a cheap room for one night. Atlas hotel is more like a hostel with private rooms. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. My only issue was the shared bathroom. 2 showers with frosted glass doirs and a toilet. No lock on the bathroom door so your supposed to dress in a semi public area. Also no lift and the rooms are on the second floor, not appropriate for disabled travelers or those with aot if luggage (the staff are very nice and did help me with all my luggage).

This hotel does not offer the rooms that are advertised in the photos. They tried to give us a room with cots and not the beds indicated. The front of the building was boarded up. There was a man walking in the hallway in his underwear. This hotel does not feel safe. I would not recommend staying here.
