At Home Inn - Pensacola

Exhausted from an 8 hour drive. So ready to check in. We reserved a room here for two days; days PRIOR to arriving. Got there and check in went normally. Then we opened our door room & the room WAS HORRIFYING. It was not cleaned since the previous guests. It smelled. The sheets were all over the floor. Went back to front desk. Told the man that the room was not at all ready. That it was horrifying in there. He didn’t even seem remorseful. They had no other rooms available. My husband and I had to sleep in the cold. In our car. In the parking lot. We were furious. & all the man could do was blame the staff. I was in tears. Honestly he should have comped our stay for the next day, or literally ANYTHING else for the MAJOR inconvenience this caused us. I will never ever forget this night. The

3 stars for the room bc the floor was sticky, the cable box didn't work and I had to hang around for maintenance to change it, and barely tolerated other guests slamming their doors pretty consistently until midnight as well as the clear sounds of pet toenails pitter-pattering on the floor above us. Appreciated clean towels and clean sheets. Guy at front desk was nothing special. Could have been a little more welcoming. Location is in a more industrial area. Not great. Poop all over the grass. Pretty gross.

The gal that checked me in with super professional and nice! The room is decent with a little too hard bed for me and the flooring is kind of separating in the seams and popping up in places. I went to the lobby to get coffee and a breakfast bar this morning and it is absolutely freezing in there. I was going to sit there and enjoy being out of the room for an hour but it is too cold in there the customer service lady that is working, who is very nice, is sitting there with her heavy jacket on and a scarf because it is too cold in there. It feels like it's 12° outside and she's freezing to work plus there is a sign on the thermostat that says do not touch. This company needs to do better for their employees!
