Architect Hotel

We stayed at the Architect for Valentine's Day weekend to see a band play at the 930 club. The hotel was an easy 30 minute walk to the 930 club, and seemed safe enough at night. The Pros The location was awesome, near a ton of nice restaurants and in the heart of the nations capital. You can walk or bike to the mall, White House, the wharf, etc.. and see most of the attractions in DC. The room was affordable, the bed was comfortable enough to get three nights of sleep, and the ground level room was nice to watch the hustle and bustle of city life. The staff were friendly and helpful when we needed them. The cons No parking at the hotel, so plan accordingly. There are plenty of parking options close by and will cost an extra $30-50 a day to park. There was no hot water in our room, s

I read the reviews before booking, but this hotel was so convenient to the event I was attending, I decided to take a chance. And boy was I glad I did! I was greeted warmly upon arrival and my request for early check-in (by several hours!) so that I could freshen up after my flight and before my meeting was graciously accommodated, which was very much appreciated. This despite the room they had originally reserved for me not yet being ready; they moved me to a 9th (top) floor room, which even though it had a view of the next building's wall out the window was both spacious and scrupulously clean. An impressive and memorable stay. The comfort, cleanliness, and service quality were all exceptional. The property was well organized and maintained, creating a stress-free and enjoyable experience. Everything worked perfectly, and the overall atmosphere made the stay truly pleasant.

The hotel is economical and located in the heart of DC. The room was clean, neat, and comfortable. Historic building but excellent location and nearby eateries should keep your stomach full and taste buds busy. The staff at check in was very good. I will recommend to anyone looking to stay for a day or two and close to metro station

The hotel was very nice-I loved the historic decor. Staff was v friendly. If you show up early or have a late train home they can store your luggage for you while you check out the sights of DC (which comes in handy during the height of the summer). The room was clean-basic accommodation. Would definitely stay again
