Americas Best Value Inn Scarborough Portland

My husband and I have stayed at similarly priced facilities and been unimpressed overall. This motel is well kept up. The staff is very accommodating and the amenities are very comfortable and it is a clean place

This is our go to place when we’re in the Portland area. The rooms are large and clean. They have a mini refrigerator and microwave which is perfect for putting cold drinks and leftovers in.

Positive: "" Negative: Staff rude and judgemental making inappropriate comments. Two clicks down the road same price with breakfast n nicer staff that dont live on site. I ended up not even staying that last night

Room was okay and bed was very comfortable but the towles were dirty and the owner was weird and creepy. I kept hearing knocks on the door and nobody was there all night long. Also there is no peep hole or deadbolt lock. I felt very unsafe. He also kept watching our room from the office below and was very nosy knocking on the door several times when we had a sleeping baby inside. There was also a surprise 100 security deposit they dont tell you about, and they kicked us outside at 10 am sharp with our baby son, while we were waiting for a ride to the airport. There are no amenities just a simple room the bed was the only plus which is why I say 2 stars. Will not be staying here again.

Love this place- my go to when staying in Portland for work/or looking to relax.The rooms are huge, clean, bathrooms large, hot water awesome, comfortable beds, refrigerator and microwave and quiet but 5-10 minutes drive to airport and major shopping - nothing real fancy, no chandeliers but just right!! The owner is pleasant and friendly and prices decent.
