Americas Best Value Inn Memphis I-240

The outside appearance needs to be pressure washed or you wouldn't think the place is open. At least have a sign that's close to the street saying that they're open. They need extra staffing because they help, the person they have took 30 minutes to come to the front desk this afternoon. Then over charge when paperwork says 74 but he added fees for it to be 90. This place never been that price was here 3months ago nor need to be they don't get that much customers.

The place itself the employees and even the location are on par to slightly better than the average Memphis motel. My biggest critique would be to make the outer layer seem more inviting. I almost thought it was closed for construction. However it was because alot nearly all the residents were parked in the back parking lot. (Great parking choices) I would also suggest a security guard and tighten down on any suspected drug or prostitution dealings. If you are from Memphis this place is suitable if you are not ask the desk about another location.

First I must mention this was one of the most horrible incidents I've had in this city. 1. We pull up to the hotel and there's a lady at the opening of the parking lot asking each car pulling in if they have a lighter. 2. The parking lot is FULL of craters you have to dodge or else get a flat tire. 3. The clerk allowed us to view the room FIRST. We open the door and there are roaches in the room. We look at the beds and the linen is visibly dirty and soiled. 4. While on the parking lot near the room another lady is propisitioning a man in a white truck. She gets in the "back seat" and they drive off. We go back to the front and decline to take the room and give her the key back. She says to just call and let them know. We call the reservation number and are told they will need to speak wit

Listen- I know it’s not the Ritz. I know it’s cheap. But I’ve stayed at a lot of cheap places, and they’re not this dirty, and the electrical outlets work. This room did not look like it was cleaned, especially the bathroom. The towels had either dirt or mold in the corners. Half of the electrical outlets did not work. Spend a little more and get a clean, functional room somewhere else. I wish I did.

Not that great although it is conveniently close to the airport which is a good thing. The room didn't have all the necessary items I personally needed. One towel and a small thing of toilet paper tried calling the customer center downstairs. But they were busy and unavailable to help me with my needs. Also the tv kept turning off maybe it has a timer but I can't fix it. I had to keep resetting the tv just so I can enjoy my stay. I wouldn't recommend this place for a vacation but if your low on cash and need a place close to the airport then I guess it's for you.
