Americas base best value inn

I stayed at the Americas best hotel on Hammond street in Bangor, ME. When I arrived to my room it looked as though nobody had cleaned it. There was hair in the tub and no comforter in the room anywhere. So, instead of making a big deal I didn’t say anything. Upon trying to speak to the housekeeping staff later on I was quickly told “no English”. After that interaction the manager showed up to the door telling me I had to leave. I assured him I’ll be paying for another night and he refused and told me to leave anyway. I’m surprised at the way I was treated seeing as how I was a very loyal customer up until this point. I expected a more friendly encounter from a family run business. But I was met with unprofessionalism and a poor cleaning staff. They will not be seeing my business any time s

Old motel. Clean, water pressure low in the shower, breakfast consist of coffee with powered MILK, muffin not individually wrapped, apples, granola bars, no cereal or any kid friendly options for kids. Pillows, mattresses & 1 blanket VERY thin. There was a cigarette burnt in the comforter but it’s a non smoking room. I’m not sure if there was anyway to turn on a heat source. I wouldn’t stay there again. I’d spend additional $30 for another place to stay in the area. Breakfast included is very important to me, which was a factor on why we picked this motel. What bothered me the most was the low status of the clientele who apparently live there.

You get what you pay for and of course when traveling with dogs its really hard to find a place to stay with more than one dog. I stopped over here because I knew they don't hassle you about multiple dogs. It was okay as far as clean enough to stay one night but it was stupid noisy with too much goings on in the parking lot. People above me jumping around until 1 am and god knows what outside my door which was a few doors down from the office. I would not stay here again even though the staff seemed nice enough ....the idea of staying over is to get some sleep and that just didn't happen.

Looking for a cheap place to lay your head before a flight or to break up a long road trip? Don’t do it. Pay more, stay anywhere else. There is a reason this is the cheapest place in town. It’s hard to know where to start. Walked into the office to the overpowering scent of marijuana with the manager sitting with his bare feet up on a table talking to a woman on the phone. The check in process was just weird. He kept his phone call open while he checked us in, with the woman chiming in on what ended up being a very weird conversation that he initiated with us about Canada’s borders. All signs pointed to this man being stoned out of his mind. The room wasn’t nice by any means although I didn’t notice anything dirty, just tired. However we had people above us who drank and screamed until 3am

The location is good.
