American Motel

This place is very hot in the summer no shade to do a transaction. They guy act like he couldn’t give me a receipt after the purchase. He told me I will have it after I check out he still gave me a hard time and act like he couldn’t give me one after. And last but certainly not least this place is definitely a roach motel.

I was not sure what I'd find by staying at a motel on the Northeast side of San Antonio and at first glance I was rather worried about my choice. Never could I have been so wrong. New paint, sinks/faucets, carpet with new microwave & frige, room was nice size and clean. Exactly what you want when you travel. The location was perfect to the freeways 410 & I-35 and the owners were so nice. I really like the parking in the rear near the room. Quiet area with convenience stores and gasoline nearby. Two adults two nights with king bed for $60 per night. The one bad point was the room had a solid window that couldn't be opened and I like some fresh air from time to time so we had to run the AC on fan only to circulate the air which was no problem. Hesitant to see it listed as 1 star online so I didn't expect much. It was close to my job site so I figured what the hell. But upset to see the online price was not what I was told at the desk but for check in with no reservation at 10pm in ne San Antonio, I couldn't complain. Gentleman at the desk was superb, and wanted us to check the room before he charged me. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were not only clean, stocked and well kept, but even the smoking room smelled nice. They only have 2 double occupancy rooms, so it was a bit tight with the 2 double beds, but completely do-able. Very clean, and has what you need as in fridge, bathroom, bed, t.v. I had a great time and it was so quiet and peaceful.

Super clean, very comfortable bed, awesome shower hot water/pressure. Very nice staff. We will definitely be back as we travel to this area often!!!
