American Inn

As many stated before, the rooms are renovated however there needs to be someone besides the owner to inspect the rooms. There were dead bugs in my room and the sheets had stains and hair. The toilet had some person's hair sticking out between the lid and bowl. I wanted to cancel but I worked with the owner by asking him to change the sheets. Part of the issue is there is an opening below the main door which allows for bugs to crawl or fly in. Especially when people are outside smoking, it can be a nuisance if cigarette smoke creeps in. I had to use something thick to block the entrance. I made the owner aware of this but I'm pretty sure it fell on deaf ears.

Stayed in Room 14, Great Stay! Very quiet and clean. NO BUGS! Only complaint is the WiFi. They give you the WiFi and password but it doesn’t work at all.

My only complaints about the room was I couldn't lock the dead bolt and the wifi for streaming was really slow. Other than that it was perfect for me. Service - only complaint was I had a dirty towel. Being that those items were the only thing and they weren't that big a deal, that room was perfect. I would not only recommend the American Inn, I would 100% stay there again if I am ever back in town. Room was clean, smelled great, perfect size, perfect location, great price, night manager was hysterical and so nice. Thank you for a amazing stay..

A very small room but cute and it worked. No door to the bathroom so if staying with someone make sure yall are close. There was a stain on the bed but we didn’t care, still looked cleaned. Animal friendly so that also was a plus but again a small room so maybe not a big dog. Couldn’t hear the room next to us which was another plus. I would recommend and stay here again.

Overall, a good value for the money. The building is old (built 1940s-1950s), but it’s well-maintained. The room was very clean and had been recently updated with a modern bathroom, shower, and furniture, including a half-size refrigerator and a microwave oven. The space is small (the comfortable, double-size bed took up most of the room) but fine for traveling solo. The one thing I didn’t like was the lighting: the ceiling light was way too bright for evening relaxation, and the nightstand light was way too dim to read comfortably. I had brought a print book to read but gave up trying and read on my phone.
