American Inn by Hotel O Selma US 80

If I cannot see a room prior to renting it something it is not okay to me what are they hiding. It was a little late after work. My colleague and I wanted a place where you could park j just walk straight into the room found it online, called decided to drive over it didn't look very nice in person. So I asked to see the room before giving her payment I would have looked at it from a distance, didn't matter. I offered. Decided NOPE luckily I did not give more than my name and they had called id.

Terrible! The room smelled like cigarettes the second you walk in. There were STAINS on the sheets and the couch. The lights in the bathroom do NOT WORK. Dirty mirrors and floor I do not recommend it is not worth it.

This is a very old motel, but don't judge a book by its cover. The furnishing in the rooms is not brand new. The rooms, however, are clean. I would stay there again if I have to evacuate for a hurricane.

Dirty first room smelled like pot and the door would not lock so no way stay safe. So they moved me but not much better room was dirty walls were nasty. Towels were dirty and couch was filthy don't waste your money.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Had to give one star to post, this place deserves negative stars!!! BEWARE — Multiple health violations!!! We stayed here and we all are suffering from horrific bed bug bites and other insect bites — the most disastrous and disgusting “Bates Style” motel I’ve ever experienced! It smelled so horribly, I had to breath the couple hours I slept with my blanket covering my mouth! I’m all for historical, but this place needs a complete overhaul or tear down! Seems like the whole family and staff live on site, not quite sure what’s going on with that! Avoid this place, I would’ve rather slept in the car than suffer the excruciating pain and itch from the bed bug and insect bites — what a HORRIBLE PLACE!!!
