American Inn Baton Rouge

Currently staying here. Maid service did not even bother to show up until 4 pm...proceded to give us clean towels but stated I had to get more toilet paper and other included room commodities from the front desk. I tried to obtain such items 3 times today to no avail. Was actually told I would have to pay for the toilet paper...I booked my room for multiple days; it wasn't even basically cleaned from my last visit in the same room a week ago. My advice... don't stay here..there are better motels in this town for the same price.

worst hotel I've ever seen. was sent to the room pictured upon checking in. it was nasty, damaged, smelly, stained, the door was busted in so you could see straight through the hole. went back to the office to tell them we would not be staying there. staff basically told us "its a $65 room, what do you expect?". then wanted to convince us to stay in a "remodeled room" for an upcharge instead of giving our money back. not sure why that wasnt offered initially. the place was almost empty aside from a few shady characters that made us even more uncomfortable. we just took the loss and went to a different hotel that wasn't terrifying.

Friendly welcome. Lovely grounds. Rooms clean. Good WiFi and TV clear. Bus stop outside. Would re recommend

Got this room for $60 just a couple days before staying. Arrived 11pm and had to wait about 20mins for someone to show up to the front desk... fine. Had no problem checking in and was pleasantly surprised by the room (clean and smelled fine, working AC, cute and easy-to-use shower). Almost nobody was staying there and Florida Blvd isn't too too loud so it was a peaceful night. Checked out the next morning with no issue. Location isn't really the best, but it's good for the price––there's a bus line straight to downtown right outside the inn, every 30mins. Very solid for $60.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was nice - good size and set up more like a small efficiency/studio with a mini kitchen area with full fridge and microwave, desk, dresser, and bed on the other side in a more separate area. Could see myself staying there for a more extended stay if I needed to.
