American Executive Inn Mesa

We checked in, and it took me 9 minutes once in the room, to book another hotel. The sheets were obviously brand new out of the package, however the bloody stained pillows, were not. Not a single photo in the reviews come anywhere near how run down and dirty these rooms were. We booked a "king suite" that included bloody pillows, bathroom completely dirty, hole in the wall, literally a hole in the wall, and kick marks on the door..... Front desk was incredibly nice, but to any one who looks here to book... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Stayed in Room 130. Sink doesnt work. Shower is dirty. Toilet seat unhinged. Microwave broken. Freezer doesnt work. Room is filthy, found trash behind and under objects, included half used birth control and condom wrappers. Obviously hasnt been cleaned in some time. Local druggies knocked on our door on two occasions. Triple digit nightly prices for this place is insane.

New owners in the place and the regular receptionist has a dismissive attitude. Some rooms are quite nice and it’s a good deal but be careful, the ‘price’ starts at $44 but after taxes etc it sometimes becomes $75. It used to be about $52 but now it’s at least $62 no matter what the initial cost said. The last room was awful: clogged sink, floors dirty, the door could only be opened by the staff, apparently the key cards didn’t work so you would need to see the receptionist to enter. But other times it is nice.

Positive: Nothing Negative: I hated everything about the hotel. The room was nasty and nothing like what the picture posted. There was nasty hair shavings and razor blades on the bathroom sink. Clear indication that the room had not been cleaned. The towels and sheets were dirty

DO NOT STAY HERE. One star is more than they deserve. FILTHY. Literally dirty bars of soap and hair in the shower. Stained sheets. Dried blood. Graffiti on the headboard. Disgusting. Pictures don't capture the severity. Walked in, was horrified, walked out immediately and said I cannot stay and want to cancel my reservation. They denied reimbursement.
