AMC Gorman Chairback Lodge & Cabins

This might be the best vacation spot ever. I loved my stay here. Very nice people who make it feel like home. Breakfast and dinner served. Breakfast starts at 8. Dinner at 6. Very clean and spacious. The sauna is amazing and clean. The cabins were homey, clean and warm. Overall an amazing experience. Will definitely come back

The property is beautiful, we were there when the fall colors were starting to pop all around the lake and on the mountainsides. Our cabin on the lake was clean and neat, the porch allowed us to sit out and enjoy the view. The lodge is welcoming, the bathrooms were clean (with compost toilets!) The best parts were the delicious meals and the enthusiastic, capable, well-informed, and very congenial staff (Thanks to Teagan, Carrie, Ben, Jay, Aidan and Ethan!!). There was a great variety of food, always plenty, and lots of veggies! The fresh-baked breads were especially good. AMC Gorman huts are great and the location is super cool on the edge of second narrows, a long lake you can ski across. They serve yummy food address people’s sensitivities and provide an opportunity to unplug unwind and understand that we live in a too busy world of our own making. Peaceful and gorgeous spend a few days so you can explore the surrounding wilds.

Gorman Chairback Lodge is a perfect place to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends. I had a wonderful experience with my brother and my nephew. The food, lodging, hikes, and pond activities were exceptional! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like they cared a lot about their environment and made our experience very memorable. I would definitely recommend this to others and I hope to go back soon.

Stayed here one night when I was hiking in the 100 mile wilderness and boy is it beautiful. Tons of trails to explore, a beautiful lake, meals included with lodging, beautiful rustic cabins, and awesome staff (aka the croo). Will definitely be back next summer and this time I’ll bring my kiddos since it was kid friendly and had a beautiful lake for kayaking and paddle boarding (both of those on site and included). Adding to my list of favorite AMC properties.
