Aloft San Antonio Airport

I was a bit nervous to stay here based on previous reviews, but I was thoroughly pleased. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and for the purpose of my stay was very close to what I needed. The beds were some of the best hotel beds I have ever experienced, and came with a good amount of pillows. The blackout shades were truly blackout, which was a miracle for a nightshift worker like myself. If I ever needed to go stay in a hotel in the area again, I would stay with Aloft.

I was staying for new years weekend. I called well in advance to book a double queen ADA room. I am a night shift work so I was done fairly late in the evening. I was told my accommodations would be met by the GSA on the phone. When we arrived we were given a standard queen room which was not enough floor or shower space to accommodate our situation. The gentleman at the desk Ricardo and the GM worked it out by giving us an additional room which greatly helped us. We did request a late check out yet again after midnight for both rooms as I would have to get myself and my other guest ready. The keys for one room was suspended at noon and we had housekeeping knocking even though I was assured the request would be honored. Our bathroom was also not clean in one room. Stayed here for the new year. Although the staff was friendly mainly Ricardo at the desk... I don't believe I will be staying here again. The hotel is in need of a renovation. I know the aloft brand isn't BRAND new but it could be better maintained. My request submitted through the app were missed both time so the communication of the desk agents could use some work. We were without a microwave and there was no ice machine on our floor. I also had the displeasure of 2 small roaches crawling on my bathroom sink. This could be a sign of a deeper problem. Breakfast is over priced considering there are many places to eat aroubd them and the market items are also on the expensive side. The location is convenient but the property is not well kept. Oh my gosh, I absolutely love this hotel! Whenever I visit Sa, I make sure to stay here. Rebecca at the front desk is just incredible. She’s so friendly, accommodating, and easy to chat with. She’s definitely one of the reasons why I keep coming back. The rooms are always clean and smell amazing. The cleaning staff are also nice and easy to talk to. Overall, it’s a great experience! It’s also a great location close to the mall etc

Positive: A very kind shuttle driver that happened to be at the desk when I came back down helped me because the T.V. didn't work. Really liked the layout of the room. Negative: I came to town for an event. I went to eat before SUPPOSED check in time...3:00. I got there a little after 4:00 and waited at the desk to check in. I was told my room was not ready. IT would be ANOTHER 40 min. I GOT INTO MY ROOM AT 5:30!!!!
