Customer Reviews
Room was small but had everything we needed, especially since we were barely in it. Elevators are small and somewhat slow. The location right by city hall and the reading terminal market was ideal. Tip: Self park in the garage at Trader Joe’s and save yourself $30 compared to valet. The hotel doesn’t have cash on site and weren’t able to break $20 bills so I could tip the staff. The front desk sent me to the bar to get change and the bartender said it’s a cash free bar - curious if he accepts cash tips. Anyway, the most frustrating was that we booked third party then got charged again by Aloft for the room plus valet when we should’ve only been charged for the valet. When I called for a refund, Aloft charged me a second time as opposed to refunding me. At this point, I’d been charged three
The best part about our stay was a corner room with king bed on 18 th. Floor. The room was spacious with fabulous city views. We only stayed for one night. Upon arrival everything seemed fine and the bed was comfortable. In the morning my perspective changed after I discovered that the mattress cover was full of stains! The sink area and hallway were lack of lighting. I couldn’t see to put my makeup on. Of course I could have brought my own mirror and do it by the windows, right? No!
What an outstanding location! We were able to park a block away and never use the car again. Easy walking distance to the Liberty Bell. We were impressed by the staff, especially. The nicest people, willing to discuss where to go and how proud to live in Philly. Then our room, wow, stunning views, comfy beds, hot shower, really done well. We saw so much artwork, everywhere you looked there was a cool installation. The atmosphere couldn't have been more inviting and exciting! We had breakfast at a sweet little diner around the corner and enjoyed the market where we each got the meal we had been craving. Truly the city of brotherly love!
The rooms are great, the staff is friendly, and there are nice extras for hanging out. There’s a little rooftop area that makes sticky summer nights enjoyable. You can grab a drink from the bar and have a conversation outdoors, two stories above the sidewalk. We appreciated the indoor pool and the table games in the lobby, which helped during transitions in our itinerary. The staff was helpful and professional. The views from the rooms allow you to appreciate both the history and modernization of the city. It was something to see the historical landmarks alongside the skyscrapers. The beds are comfy and very clean— they didn’t disappoint! I will definitely use this place again!
Very near the Reading Terminal Market, the hotel room was really nice and clean. Had a wonderful sleep and it is in the downtown too. Making it very accessible to almost everywhere.
