Aloft Charleston Airport & Convention Center

My experience with this hotel was Fairly good. The room was clean and smelled fresh. I had to switch rooms because the toilet wouldn’t work but that’s no biggie the staff Amber helped me right away and was pleasant. I would stay here again for a in and out trip no more than 3 days. I say this because in a hotel I prefer complimentary breakfast and at least a microwave in my room because I travel to work for I stay for a long period of time. The pros were heated pool, nice gym, clan atmosphere and lovely staff. Cons are no microwave smaller rooms and no complimentary breakfast. I can deal with that if I’m staying for a short period of time. Overall this hotel of pretty good

Came here for a soccer tournament and really enjoyed the experience. Room was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly. Food options nearby (some walkable). Can’t ask for more. A couple weird quirks with the hotel (no ice machines, had to get a small bag near lobby and key cards stopped working at 11am despite noon check out). For the price, would definitely come here again.

Positive: Easy to access from the Interstate. Location was very convenient to our destination. Negative: Room did not have refrigerator that was listed in amenities. Room safe wouldn't open.

Today I checked into the Aloft Hotel. 2/27/26 The lobby and initial experience were pleasant; however, once I reached my room, I was extremely disappointed. The view was unacceptable, and one of the windows in the room is visibly cracked (see attached photos). Concerned, I went downstairs to request a room change. The young woman at the front desk informed me that no rooms were currently available because housekeeping was still preparing them. I completely understood, as I had seen staff cleaning rooms on my floor. She assured me that once additional rooms were ready, I could return and be moved. Based on that assurance, I left the property for a short walk to allow time for rooms to become available. When I returned, a different staff member was at the front desk. I explained that I had

Unfortunately, my recent stay did not meet the standards I have come to expect. I typically speak very highly of Aloft, as my company books at least 1 to 2 rooms per night across the country for our drivers. Because of that continued partnership, I was especially disappointed by this experience. Prior to arrival, I messaged the hotel to request early check in. I had called a few weeks earlier and was told to simply message the day of my stay. When I did, I was informed that early check in could be accommodated. However, upon arrival, Molly, who was eating lunch in the main area, assisted me. She was unable to locate my reservation and I had to wait until I connected to WiFi to retrieve my confirmation number.
