Aloft Asheville Downtown

I LOVED this hotel. My family and I stayed for two nights with our two dogs and appreciated so many things about it. Beyond being extremely dog friendly, I loved the second floor indoor space with several comfortable seating areas with a fireplace, a nice bar, and a pool table. Was great to have such a nice place for our family to relax with our dogs. The outdoor lounge area balcony was also nice with the heaters in late December. The third floor outdoor area was also extremely nice with so many couches, gorgeous Mountain views, and outdoor fireplace. I also liked the unique room layout and the products in the shower. We travel to Asheville multiple times a year and this was our first stay at the Aloft. We chose this hotel because the location was within walking distance of the concert venue we were going to on NYE. If you stay here, we hope you have a better experience.||The Pro's: | - Location, Location, Location|The Con's:| - Water pressure from the shower was akin to trying to shower in a light rain. The showerhead had no adjustments and was mounted oddly high on the wall making the lack of pressure all the worse (my wife and I are both close to 6' tall). We had to fill the ice bucket from the room with water from the bathroom sink multiple times just to rinse off the shampoo and soap.| - As for the bathroom sink, we noticed the water coming from it had a foul odor yet the water from the shower smel

Great location, convenient to most things downtown. The Bonvoy app said parking would be $10/day, but it was actually $15, however, it allowed in & out privileges & was easy to access. I had checked in on the app, and had my digital room key, but it wouldn't work in the elevator & the staff said it is 50/50 if it would work or not. Our first night was great, second night there was a lot of noise (other guests, random pipe noises, etc). Appreciated the filtered water dispenser at the ice station. Staff was very friendly & loved the foster dog who greeted us at the front desk. I was impressed by the provided toiletries which were DryBar brand. Aloft was awesome! It was perfectly located to walk the city. We also brought bikes and rode to the Art District. The food in the area was great. The views of the mountains were beautiful and romantic from the room and on the rooftop! We had an amazing birthday vacay.
