Alegria Oceanfront Inn & Cottages

We had a birthday vacation at the Alegria Inn and Cottages, and stayed in the Cove Cottage, right above the beach. We have been coming to various places in and near Mendocino for almost 50 years, but this was our first time here. it's our new favorite place. It really makes a difference not to have to drive from our previous favorites in the Elk, Little River, and Albion River areas. It is as quiet and peaceful as any other place, along the coast, plus we were able to walk down to the beach, all over town, and around the headlands. A delightful and romanic Japanese-themed cozy cottage, rustic and worn like everything in Mendocino. And the breakfasts were superb, lovingly crafted and delicious. We'll be back!

WOW! What a place! The view to the beach is incredible, it felt like I was at a luxury resort! We loved our stay here and in Mendocino. This was our first time here in Mendocino, but I hope it will not be the last and we would 1000% stay at Alegria again upon our return. The staff were all exceptionally kind and communicative. The breakfast was superb, a big shoutout to the amazing chef! The owner was so nice as were the two innkeepers we met. The space is lovely, and there’s lots of outdoor seating areas to take in the view. There’s also a private path down to the water, which was so lovely. The Inn is centrally located, and we had a lovely dinner at Patterson’s Pub. We enjoyed a walk around the Mendocino Headlands State Park as well which was spectacular. This was the most luxurious part

What a wonderful stay! They offer fresh baked cookies at check-in, fresh muffins and delicious hot cocoa or coffee in the mornings, and well-functioning amenities in the rooms. A very lovely and cozy lobby and dining room overlooks the ocean. And everyone was so kind and easy to work with. Compared to all the other places friends stayed when we took over Mendocino for a large wedding weekend, Alegria was among the very best!

We stayed in the Village Farm Retreat and loved every minute. Eric and his staff were very welcoming and helpful, the accommodations were charming and beautiful and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. We could walk to the ocean and around Mendocino. I recommend this wholeheartedly!

Cute little B&B right by the ocean. The cottage we stayed in was comfy. The breakfasts were top notch - usually with a fruit bowl, a breakfast main, and organic juices and/or coffee. There is a short path down to the beach so you can walk down anytime to enjoy the views. We also walked into town as it's right off the main street. Would stay there again if I went back to Mendocino.
