Alamar Resort Inn

I booked a nightmare online and my family a were not going to stay. So, I went back online, found The Alamar and decided to go there before booking. Best choice! A quick 2 block walk to the beach, economical, CLEAN, the staff are PROFESSIONAL! It is well maintained for being a beach hotel. I do plan to return and I will recommend it to everyone. I would call them directly to save time and if you spontaneously take a trip, go there first. I’ll stay longer my next trip. Thank you for saving our family trip.

Resort? what a joke! The owners clearly don't give a f*** about guest experience or repeat business! The whole place was disgusting and we left and stayed elsewhere. Hopefully some of these negative reviews get through to the owners. From the broken shower faucet to the broken cabinets and the disgustingly dirty fabric on the chairs oh and of course the complimentary hair in the shower! We expected the place to be dated but disgusting wasnt on our bingo card! Shame because it's close to the beach and could be fixed up nicely if the owners gave a crap! Also, why do they have Marriott Courtyard door passes? 🤣

Positive: Location Negative: Noisy

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights last week. It is two blocks down from the ocean so it’s super convenient. It was very quiet while we were there. Our children were able to swim in the pool whenever they wanted to while we watched from our room because you can see the pool from all rooms. The owners were very nice and accommodating. For the price of these rooms you can’t beat the location of the hotel(and you get what you pay for). There are definitely a couple things that could be revised but my family and I enjoyed our stay. Definitely will stay here on our next visit to VA beach.

The hotel isn't luxurious, obviously the price says so, but it's comfortable. The hotel owner is very friendly. What I did like is that you can use the pool whenever you want, especially at night. My kids loved this. I gave it 4 stars because there was no shampoo or conditioner. The room was clean, the AC works very well. If you are looking for something like and close to the beach I recommend it.
