Amazing spot to camp with great climbing routes in every direction. It's a shame locals are trying to close this off. Don't let them do it. Leave it better than you found it. Make a donation to the BLM.
Awesome place to spend a night or two! Gorgeous scenery with lots of places to hike. Sites are free, but first come first serve and few scattered about. Plus the cute town is five minutes away.
Nice and quiet campground. RVs could only stay near the road plot during the day. The 400 meters road down the hill is bumpy, suitable for smaller cars, 4x4 recommended. There are 2-3 camping plots with marked fireplaces. No restrooms.
Great place for photography and night views of the stars.
Seems like the last of Californias wonderland soon to be trashed
