AC Hotel Washington DC Convention Center

I had a great stay at the AC Hotel in Washington, DC. The hotel is modern, clean, and very well located, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and quiet, with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The overall atmosphere is calm and professional, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a highlight of my stay, especially thanks to Tersit. Tersit was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming every morning. They always greeted guests with a warm smile and made sure everything was well organized and enjoyable. Their positive attitude truly made breakfast time feel special and set a great tone for the day.

Staff member Tigis was exceptional!||After checkout, however, I discovered a $215 smoking fee had been added to my folio, which was emailed to me several hours after departure. By that point, I was already well away from the property. I do not smoke, did not smoke during the stay, and had no visitors. There was no notification while I was still in residence for two days following the reported “incident,” no room inspection that I am aware of, and no mention of any issue at checkout. From the moment I arrived, the staff exhibited exceptional hospitality and professionalism, ensuring every guest felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for during the challenging weather conditions. Positive: Hotel was nice and staff was overall pleasant as a collective. Negative: My hotel booking was booked with a city view as on my confirmation. I did not have a city view, it was of a brick wall. I do not feel the staff did what they could have done to accommodate me and almost felt as if my booking was switched upon arrival.
