AC Hotel Raleigh North Hills

Stayed here for a business slash family getaway Clifton and his team at the desk were top notch. Never in my life have I experienced such amazing service from his staff. He gave me his card asked me to come back and was connecting me with the right team. He’s a Gem and so is his team I believe it was Shequitta (spelling) and Mattie they all made my stay great. Housekeeping was ok but my room was fixed with the issues

This was a great hotel in a great (and quiet) location! It has a nice rooftop bar with a great vibe and was also a good "home base" for exploring the city - lots of walkable shopping and dining nearby (including groceries if needed) and an inexpensive Uber ride to other areas of interest. Complimentary parking was very easy and close. The room itself was very clean, comfortable, and modern and even had a mini fridge I wasn't expecting! My only complaint is not enough hanger space in the bathroom for towels and toiletry bags.

We thought we were getting a hign end room in a very nice hotel. Not exactly. Though it is modern decor, the room lacks about everything. Space, a place to put suitcases, a normal bathroom, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom sink sits right at the entrance to the room wide open so if someone is sleeping the noise fun from sink will wake them up. No drawers or places to unpack. The hanging space is maybe 2' and the only space to store a suitcase, 1 not 2, is in the same 2'. Some designer wanted this room to be "bespoke" well it may be but it lacks any comfort. The mattress is about like a couple of towels on q board, which is what the platform under the mattress is. The lobby is just nothing but a few seats about 12" off the floor. Again "bespoke". For the most part my stay here was nice. I do want to thank Tenaja and Matty for their great service with checking in and out. My only issue is that housekeeping was rushing me on my check out day when it wasn’t time for me to check out. Twice at that. Way before my check out time. I felt very rushed and uncomfortable. I’m a Marriott member and have been for quite sometime. I brought it up to housekeeping management and they were apologetic. However, I just thought that was very odd…Valet service was excellent.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I stayed because I was attending a wedding in the area. The lighting inside the rooms at this hotel is absolutely horrible which made it difficult to get ready for the wedding. The walls are paper thin, I was able to hear full conversations that my neighbors were having. The bass from the party on the 7th floor on Saturday vibrated the whole room, making it difficult to relax. The 7th floor was basically booked for private events the entire day on Saturday. As guests of the hotel we tried to use the space to get a drink before dinner and were unable to and attempted to use the space after dinner and was again unable to, due to private events.
