AC Hotel Durham

We enjoyed our five night stay at the AC Marriott. The lobby is very comfortable and we spent time relaxing there. The restaurant could offer more options but it is adequate and the food was pretty good. The first floor staff including front desk, restaurant and bar were top notch. The hotel is very clean, fresh and new. The only complaint was housekeeping, it felt like they were always in our face, either loudly in the hallway playing music or talking to each other, banging cleaning cleaning equipment or in the elevator with huge rolling bins. The room was clean with the exception of the bathroom! Someone needs show them how to wash the toothpaste spatter off the walls and under the mirror! Yuk!|As aside from that we will be back.

I had a great experience. Not only was the hotel clean and in great shape, but also Bobby at the front desk was amazing. I accidentally left some items behind and Bobby coordinated with me over the phone to get my items back to more and handled the process personally. What a way to ensure customer service and create a repeat patron. I will definite stay at the AC next time I have to travel to Durham!

Very modern hotel, the room is big and nice, and the location is good too, close to Duke

The location of the AC is amazing! It’s across the street from Duke campus. The atmosphere is good. The rooms are starting to show where. The hotel is only five years old and I’ve noticed that in my room this time the handle for the blinds was broken off and hasn’t been replaced. I had asked for a full-size ironing board to be brought to my room and I never received it. Outside of that I would recommend the hotel but I do think that they need to be conscious these upgrades/updates/maintenance may need to take place sooner than later. They have significant turnover due to their convenient location next to the VA hospital, Duke University hospital, and Duke University.

01/25/2026 my company payed for us to stay here due to a blizzard we expected in Durham. Conveniently located with restaurants and stores walking distance along Erwin Rd . The hotel 🏨 staff was friendly accommodating us all and enjoyed my stay for the short we was there. Definitely recommend for another stay over
