AC Hotel Asheville Downtown

A colleague and I both checked into the AC Hotel yesterday, and our experiences have been incredible. We were impressed with our initial greeting when we checked in -- at seperate times. My room is lovely and so clean. And the best part was our dinner at the rooftop restaurant and the service we received there from Anderson. He was our incredible waiter, and he was there when we needed anything, while giving us space and time to just hang out. Overall, the hotel and restaurant -- and especially the folks working in both spaces -- have been top-notch! The people who work here make this place spectacular!

Excellent on all levels. Upon arrival, Laura w comes me and helped me secure an outstanding room upgrade. Throughout my stay she also offered helpful advice on activities and dining. My room was wonderful - clean, nicely appointed, good view, and very comfortable. The property was situated in a walkable area with fun shopping and dining (great coffee spot next door). Parking was a breeze and very convenient. The bar staff at rooftop bar were friendly, fun, and talented. Grew drinks and baked up by a great kitchen staff and chef. I tried several items from the tapas menu and loved them all (generous portions). The AC hotel in downtown Asheville is in a great location. Front desk staff are nice and welcoming. They did not upgrade my room after i requested one. Stated there were none available. The hotel has a nice interior design in the lobby and a beautiful cocktail lounge that opens up to a rooftop bar. The service is poor for the wait staff in the lounge; however, the bartenders are great. We could not get a wait staff to take our order while outside, so we had to move inside and order ourselves from the bartender. This was on a Monday night and they were not busy. Our room was average. I would recommend an upgrade on the mattresses. They are very hard! We had our little poodle with us and there is a nice little park around the corner for her. I would return to this hotel in the future.

We decided to take my parents to Asheville right after the Christmas holidays and stayed at the Marriott Asheville Downtown. The location was perfect — right in downtown and within walking distance of any restaurant or nightlife you could want. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Everything about our stay made it easy and enjoyable. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Asheville!

We stayed at the AC hotel this past weekend for a wedding in Asheville, and from the time we first called to inquire about parking to the time we checked out, the staff were all AMAZING. Brandon really stood out to me as one of the best hotel staff people I’ve encountered, but everyone was really kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable as well.
