A Spectacular View Cabin

To avoid being confused with other cabins with similar names, THIS review is for "OUR SPECTACULAR VIEW" in the Starrcrest Resort just outside of Pigeon Forge, overlooking Dollywood. (Some of these reviews are clearly for an other cabin(s), like the first one that references "three baths with no showers." This one has a bath/shower combo and a walk-in shower...all spotless!) For my wife and me, this was our ninth Pigeon Forge "cabin vacation" in the past four years, and this cabin was exceptional for a number of reasons. The view is spectacular covering a broad section of The Smokies while providing a front row seat to some spectacular sunsets. Initially when we scheduled a cabin I was apprehensive with all the negative reviews. Booked A Spectacular View. Due to my husband's cancer and Covid we were not allowed to cancel with refund. I asked if he'd died and she said "Do you know anyone who would want to stay?" Very cold. They need "No cancellations for any reasons" in big bold letters easily seen. I guess with the fire a few years ago there would be no cancellations? When called for check out instructions the lady sounded like she didn't want to be there or I disturbed her. It is a steep, steep drive up to the cabin so def have a agile car that can make tight turns. Our family of 10 enjoyed the spectacular Mountain View. The cabin is stocked with enough pots and pans to feed your family. It’s comfortably furnished. Sadly, however, simple maintenance and repair is not given the attention it needs. Attention to detail could make this good cabin a great one. Light bulbs need replaced, dryer needs replaced(it destroyed a load of clothes). The driveway is in bad need of repair. A sink upstairs doesn’t drain. Carpenter bees need treated. And windows cleaned. Few more rockers on the porch would be great! Sadly, we went back through the reviews and found that these same issues have been ongoing. Cabins USA and the owner of this property should take these complaints seriously.

Had a great time. The cabin had everything we needed and was incredibly peaceful and relaxing! Great views!
