Yaupon Inn

I had a fantastic stay at Betsy's place! The room was exactly as described, perfectly clean, and just a short walk from the ocean. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals, but I also loved the convenience of being within walking distance to great restaurants. Betsy was an amazing host, always attentive and thoughtful, and her morning coffee was a delightful touch.

My parents were coming to visit us, but my father has knee problems and my mother also has some issues with mobility, so we got them a room at the Yaupon as there were very few steps. The biggest plus was the common room where we could hang out and play games and eat together since they couldn’t climb the steps to our house. My mother also said it was the cleanest place she has ever stayed! We are so thankful for this little gem and will definitely recommend it to anyone who asks.

Betsy (the owner) is incredibly friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. Her rooms are sparking clean and the location of her inn is perfect for anyone looking to visit the lighthouse, go to the beach or get a nice getaway! Highly recommend this spot!

Exceptionally clean rooms and a short 3 minute walk to a public beach. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. Couldn’t ask for more.

If you want a different way to stay in the OBX, stay here. Owned and lovingly restored by a local who’s had it in the family for decades, this is a great affordable stopping off place for kayakers, wind surfers, nature lovers etc. you can cook meals in the shared kitchen and you are minutes away from anything and everything. Awesome place!
